Wordfilled Wednesday: Rejoice in this Day!

This is a day that the Lord has made! "All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." Psalm 139:16 He planned this day long before I was born--this birthday celebration that was prepared with love and consisted not of store bought gifts but of breakfast served in bed even though my husband is sick, a hand written note torn out of a pink diary and wrapped in a Goldfish box telling me that my oldest daughter wants to go out to dinner with me and a hand-drawn book full of pictures of flowers and heart without any words but intricately wrapped in a recycled Cheerios box, secured with about 10 ribbons and hidden in plan sight in a closet for the last week.

So when asked what I have done in the past year, my answers are pretty simple- I loved my husband, raised my girls, served God in my community. Like my birthday presents, my life isn't fancy but honestly, I couldn't ask for anything else beyond the hugs, love and admiration from my family and the peace and contentment that I have in knowing the Lord.

Don't forget to stop by the 160 Acre Woods for more Wordfilled Wednesday.

Happy Birthday my friend! What a great way to celebrate :) Mine is coming up in a few weeks, but honestly I'd rather just skip them.

I hope you get that dinner with your oldest sometime soon :D
