I woke up this morning and grabbed my devotional book before my coffee! But then I was a bit deflated to find that nothing grabbed me. So I grabbed a second devotional book. Nope nothing there was calling my name either. So finally I picked up THE DEVOTIONAL BOOK and flipped to Proverbs. I found Proverbs 22 and read these words: "The lazy person claims, “There’s a lion out there! If I go outside, I might be killed!” That grabbed me--that's what God wanted me to read today. Not only that, he made me smile. My excuses probably sound as silly as screaming in a falsetto voice that "No! I can't go out there. There might be lions and tigers and bears, oh my!" Point taken. Got it. No more excuses. Or in the words of the great Nike slogan. When God tells you what you need to be doing, just do it! Got go now...I have to just do the things that as a mommy I just need to do...make lunch for my horse camp participant, through in a load of laundry, exercise, clean up the puppy peeps on the floor. Yes, I know it is exciting but this is the season that I am in right now and I just need to go do it. No excuses.

I love it!!! My husband is currently reading In a Pit with a Lion on A Snowy Day by Mark Batterson. The whole premise of this book is not to run from the lions, but to CHASE THEM in pursuit of all the wonderful things God has in store for us. Thank you for sharing this post today!! Love and prayers...
Just doing it!
Love it! I'm enjoying catching up but I really need to get off my tuckus and get something done!
If you want devotions that always grab you, grab My Utmost for His Highest, by Oswald Chambers!!! It grabs me every single day. He speaks Biblical truth and does not mince words. Not for the faint of heart, that's for sure. If you're not ready to listen to and obey the Lord, MUFHH can be a bit much. I love it!
